Follow Up: Error Brought to Our Attention From April
It was brought to our attention in April that a website on our portfolio was not one that we created or one that any of our developers created. As soon as we were notified, we removed the design from our portfolio. While this was not done intentionally, we understand that we must take responsibility for the error.
To best illustrate our work, we show examples of websites we have completed, and from time to time we will feature examples that our designers have created in the past. We do this to highlight the abilities of our team.
While every programmer is located here in Grand Rapids, MI, not all of our designers are local. We have designers working for is in various parts of the country. One designer from Florida (NOT India) took credit for a design that was indeed not his work. My error was in taking his word for it and not doing the proper research before posting it on our website as work from our team.
We removed the design in question immediately and have offered our sincerest apologies to both the owner of the site and to the actual site developer. We have also ended our relationship with the designer who provided us with the design.
While I can not control what is posted on the internet or what our competitors say our customer satisfaction rating speaks for itself. For the first quarter and second quarter of 2010 we had a 100% rating with our web design clients referred to us by Buyerzone. That is not our own survey it is BuyerZone\'s own independent survey, that is something no one can argue with!
Again, we are sorry for the trouble this has caused.
Sincerely,
The Square Peg Web Management Team
August 2010
